Podcast and Mask

If you spend too much time in your car commuting, carpooling, errand-running and cannot stand to listen to one more pop song, it’s time to get on board with the PODCAST. It’s literally one the best things that has happened to me this year. I am addicted. Now I listen to them whenever I possibly can – long walks, folding laundry, getting ready in the morning. If you have an iPhone it’s the “podcast” app you might have ignored until now.

It just dawned on me the other day when I went to put on my Mantra Mask that masking is the perfect podcast time – FEED YOUR FACE AND YOUR BRAIN!

Here’s a list of my recent faves. The top two got my husband and me thru a 22-hour car trip to Montana. We “binge – casted”, it was awesome.

Ok here goes, my top three:

1. Malcolm Gladwell: Revisionist History

We ate these up. Gladwell takes a looks at the world, events big and small, with a completely different perspective, fresh information, or just a different angle. It’s fascinating. You don’t always have to agree but he will expand your mind and your thought process.

2. Criminal: We cannot get enough of watching Dateline so this is right up our alley. It’s all about crime and the people involved it in. Every podcast is so different and full of interesting interviews of the wronged and those that did the wrong-doing. It will make any long car ride fly by.

3. Rachel Hollis anything: If you are a masking Mama, heck if you are a woman, you will love Rachel’s unapologetic, non-preachy, inspiring advice on getting through this thing called LIFE. You’ll laugh and cry and a lot if it will hit home.

Here’s just a starter list. There are so many good ones out there. Just put on your headphones, slip on a mask, and lose yourself in a podcast.
